The company has an international network of respected and well known experts that assist in the different client projects.

Nicholas Cop is the Founder and President of Nicholas Cop Consulting, LLC which he established in 2005. The company provides information and education consulting services to universities, publishers, academic and research library networks, and national and regional academic information systems, primarily in Latin America and the Caribbean. It works principally in the fields of digital resources and digital libraries, mobile technologies, Open Access initiatives and virtual worlds, and has an international network of respected and well known experts who provide assistance in the various projects it undertakes.

He was a member of the first Redalyc Advisory Board (a Latin American Open Access Initiative) until 2010 and is International Consultant to the SciELO Open Access initiative.

Nicholas was the founding director of OCLC’s Sales and Marketing Division for Latin America and the Caribbean (1995-2005). As a result of increasing sales in Mexico, he created the subsidiary OCLC Mexico located in Mexico City to locally manage sales. 

A graduate in physics (B.Sc.) from McMaster University, Canada, with postgraduate studies undertaken at the University of Toronto, Canada, Nicholas is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese with a working knowledge of French and Slovenian.
